Months following Johnny Depp’s publicized defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp makes a cameo in Rihanna’s fourth Savage X Fenty show, making him the first male in Savage X Fenty show history to take on the role.
Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 fashion show aired on Wednesday 9 November and it’s now available to stream on Prime Video plus a short Instagram video found below, gives you a peep at Depp’s role in the show.
The 59 year-old actor can be seen staring into the camera while modelling sunglasses and a chest-revealing button-down shirt with layers of silver chain necklaces.
Depp was reportedly invited by Rihanna and her team to participate in the show that both teams were “excited to make happen.”
Under Johnny Depp’s Instagram post, many including Paris Hilton expressed their support for Depp’s Fenty appearance. Although, not all were filled with excitement as Years and Years single Olly Alexander took to Twitter to express his disappointment in Fenty for enlisting Depp.Â
Depp has made a series of various on-screen appearances following his wins in his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard. These include a brief cameo at the MTV VMA awards where he joked that he’s only doing this because “you know what? I needed the work.’
In case you somehow missed it, Depp sued Amber Heard for defamation following her 2018Â Washington Post op-ed about demestic violence. Despite his name not being mentioned in the op-ed, Depp won the trial and was awarded more than $10 million USD in damages.
Heard’s request for a mistrial was denied so she responded with a countersuit where she won one of her three defamation claims and was awarded $2 million USD. Only last week, Depp’s lawyers filed paperwork to appeal Heard’s $2 million countersuit.
