Currently gearing up for a legendary Inter v AC Milan Champions League semi-final, Inter Milan and Nike have released a limited-edition Air Max 97 silhouette, boasting the famous colours of the legendary Milan club.
Some of the heroes of Inter Milan, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolò Barella, and Romelu Lukaku can be seen modelling the collaborative trainers in the gallery below.Â
A limited ‘Friends and Family’ drop of only 200 pairs has been released and are decorated in Nerazzurri blue and gold, further solidifying Inter Milan‘s status in the worlds of fashion, culture, and football.
The black silhouette features Royal Blue stripes, with golden details accenting the Nike Swoosh to the lateral sides. A golden Inter crest replaces the traditional Nike Swoosh on the tongue tabs to round off the new Air Max 97.
Initially debuting in 1997, The Air Max 97 was carefully chosen as the collaborations focus as it strongly resonates with the city of Milan and the Italian community.Â
Some may remember a previous Nike x Inter Milan link-up, where in 2021 the duo launched a limited-edition Air Force 1 silhouette, which sold out rapidly.Â
While the friends and family version will be next to impossible to get your hands on, the Air Max 97 x Inter trainers (the only difference being the absence of the golden Inter crest) are still currently available to shop at online sportswear site – AW Lab.Â
