NIGO, the designer and DJ responsible for brands ‘A Bathing Ape’ and ‘Human Made’, has teamed up with adidas to continue his series of Human Made interpretations of adidas classics. The 9-piece sneaker capsule features adaptations of various adidas silhouettes including the Stan Smith and Campus and follows on from a recent collaboration between the brands in celebration of the anniversary of the adidas Superstar. Releasing on August 6th, here’s what you can expect from Human Made X adidas:

Stan Smith, Rivalry Low and Campus 80 are the trio of silhouettes lined up to be reworked by Human Made. With each silhouette coming in three brand new colourways, there’s something for everyone in this release whether you’re a fan of clashing brights or prefer to keep your colour palette simple.

The most simplistic design of the capsule comes in the form of the Stan Smith sneaker. Not straying too far form the classic silhouette, the usual perforated ‘three stripes’ design is replaced by the Human Made heart logo and the tongue features the adidas name in a chunky typeface, replacing the famous Stan Smith portrait that would usually sit there. All black, white with grey and the O.G white with green are the three colourways available to choose from for the Human Made branded Stan Smith.

In contrast, the Rivalry Low are the most stand-out and daring design on offer in this collection. With chunky soles and clashing colourways, Human Made’s take on the design is worlds apart from the popular all-white version of the original shoe. The colour combinations available to choose from are chocolate brown, pink and cream, a Crayola-esque red, blue and yellow and a Rastafarian inspired yellow, brown and green.

The final silhouette to have received a Human Made makeover is the Campus 80. Largely unchanged in its design, the Human Made branded Campus bears the red heart logo on the heel and is available in three colours: deep green, baby blue and grey. The suede shoe outer still features the three stripes of adidas but on top of the stripes, the slogan “gears for futuristic teenagers’ is printed, a tagline which has existed since Human Made’s founding.

If you’re wanting to cop yourself some new kicks from this collaboration, then be ready on August 6th at 9am, as this is a collection not to be missed and they all retail for £129.95. You can shop the Human Made collab and all other adidas new releases here.
