Following months of speculation, Erling Haaland has officially put pen to paper on a new lucrative Nike deal that will see the Manchester City striker join the next generation of Nike’s elite football stars.
Haaland’s wishes for an offer of around £20 million per year from Nike has become a reality as the Norwegian star signs his new boot sponsorship contract that’s reportedly worth a staggering £19.3 million per-season and will last more than a decade.
This new deal easily surpasses Haaland’s City teammate Jack Grealish, who landed a contract with City’s kit manufacturers PUMA, in a deal understood to total £50 million over five years – the biggest contract ever signed to a British footballer.
Football fans across the world have labeled them as rivals, but Haaland’s new Nike deal is now also worth more than Kylian Mbappé‘s, who’s reportedly earning around £14 million per-season with the Swoosh label.
Haaland’s become the youngest player to score 30 goals in the UEFA Champions League and the 22-year-old now joins Nike’s elite footballer catalogue along with Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Kevin De Bruyne, and of course Kylian Mbappé.

Haaland first signed with Nike at the age of 14, however, since their deal expired in January 2023, brands such as Adidas and PUMA entered the race to attempt to sign the superstar.
This led to much speculation as Haaland wore PUMA Ultra boots at his City unveiling, Adidas x Speedportal boots in the Community Shield final against Liverpool in July, but boasted Nike Mercurial Vapors and other Nike boots during many Premier League clashes.
This speculation over which label Haaland will be associated with is now at an end, with his lucrative Nike deal being described as a ‘career-long’ deal.
Haaland’s father, Alfie Haaland who also played for City, advised him throughout the process as well as his agent Rafaela Pimenta, who claimed in October her client would eventually sign the biggest sponsorship deal in the history of football.
Having missed City’s last game through illness, when they beat Liverpool 4-1 at the Etihad, It’s only a short matter of time until Haaland continues to build on his astonishing 42 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions this season and establishes his new legacy as the heir to Nike‘s famous number 9.
