Throughout the year, CP Company have been celebrating their 50th anniversary of the brand. So far, as part of the label’s very own festivities, we have seen partnerships with the likes of Sebago and Barbour landing limited edition capsule collections.
This month, it’s adidas’ turn. CP Company have recently revealed a first look at their newest collaborative project, featuring adidas Spezial. The new drop includes an exclusive two-piece capsule. Reworked in a 1970’s Italian camouflage print is the new Haslingden Jacket in a cool, earthy colour palette. This feature piece is a great portrayal of the heritage of both brands being fused together. Constructed with 50 Fili insulation, a specialised CP Company proprietary fabric, the classic styling and classic functionality of the brand is really emphasized within the jacket’s materials, whilst an adjustable hood and collar allow extra comfort and movement when worn. Each jacket is detailed with oversized pockets and branded patches to complete the vintage military look.
The adidas x CP Company Italia Spzl pays homage to the brands’ very own titles – the icons of ‘terracewear’. The Italia is the perfect silhouette for this collaboration – coming in a clean, minimal fashion whilst still looking sporty and stylish. Overall, the shoe comes in a low cut style, with uppers made of creamy white leather. The T-shape detailing across the toe box is constructed in a beige suede, whilst layers of serrated leather make up medial and lateral sides of the shoe, proving some of the best attention to detail that money can buy. Classic adidas three-stripes sit on both sides of the foot, in a forest green shade, complimented by the multi tone sole of the shoe in a very Italian looking colour combination. The shoes are finished with gold foil logos and detailing, adding a little extra luxury to each pair.
Both the jacket and trainers are sported by no other than footballer Luke Shaw, within the campaign imagery, drawing a little extra attention from fans outside of the industry. Shaw is best known for playing for British team Manchester United, alongside the national England football team.
Dropping on the 14th October, the collection will be available to buy at CP Company Flagship stores and at END Clothing. This capsule is a must-have for any CP Company collectors, or even just those who are looking to make a statement this winter – it’s guaranteed to have you turning heads on the high street.
