Adidas are celebrating the Christmas period with a familiar, loveable character taking the center stage: the mean old Mr. Grinch.
The German sportswear giants have unveiled images of their forthcoming Christmas kicks, the classic Forum Low trainers which have incorporated the colours and texture of the Mr. Grinch.
The Mr. Grinch in question isn’t from the classic 2000 film with Jim Carrey, or the animated 2018 film featuring Tyler, the Creator’s “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” cover. The Grinch in question is from the 1966 book character and television special that started it all.
Take a closer look at the new Adidas Forum Low “Grinch” below:
The new Christmas kicks feature classic drawings of the original Mr. Grinch character on the insole and lace charms.
What stands out most about the new Adidas Forum Low trainers is of course the all-over green colourway. From the cozy terry lining to the hair suede upper, a mixture of different shades of green throughout the entire shoe make it stand out from any other Forum Lows I’ve ever seen.
The essence of the furry Mr. Grinch is well captured within the trainer, while also supplying the shoes with a distinctive stylish element.
An image of Mr. Grinch having a mysterious peek can be seen over Adidas’ Forum Low‘s signature velcro strap, while neon hues strike the sole and laces with Adidas branding placed in its customary positions.
You can expect to indulge in some Christmas drip with the new Adidas Forum Low “Grinch” when they drop sometime in December, just in time for an incredible Christmas gift.
