The North Face has made a huge comeback in every day, high street fashion, over the past few years. Originally founded as an outdoor oriented brand, specialising in mountaineering technical equipment and clothing. As it paved its way into regular fashion trends, this brand has also been known for its collaborations with some top menswear brands on the current market. Working with the likes of Supreme and Extra Butter for the more streetwear style collections, to Brain Dead for those more adventurous. The North Face really have covered all grounds.

To give you a little background, TNF was actually founded in 1966 by two hiking enthusiasts from San Fran’s North Beach. Throughout the late 60’s, the brand built up it’s very own following of like-minded outdoor fanatics. The brand began to sponsor expeditions exploring some of the most unknown, unexplored areas across the world – this is where the classic TNF mantra made its debut, reinforcing the idea to ‘Never Stop Exploring’.

The early 80’s saw the brand branch out further, into the world of winter sports, and skiing in particular. By the end of the decade, The North Face became the top retailer in the US to provide such a vast range of outdoor apparel and equipment; from technical clothing including men’s coats, women’s fleeces, men’s trousers and boots, to sleeping bags, tents and backpacks.

Tekware launched in the 1990’s, which was the brands first lead in the world of outdoor sportswear. This new collection provided more equipment and specialised clothing for a variety of athletes, including trail runners, rock climbers, hikers and backpackers. The brand was renowned to provide the ultimate fit and function for affordable prices.

Still to this day, The North Face is providing us with technical, performance apparel, alongside equipment and now a more extensive footwear range. Helping us to rekindle our love for the outdoors – something a huge amount of us have been able to do over this past year. Not only for the outdoor goers, The North Face has managed to stumble into the world of menswear fashion. The North Face puffer jackets are a hugely popular staple piece in many of our wardrobes, providing comfort, quality and of course style with each design. Now, the brand is pushing the boundaries of outdoor apparel, with new innovative designs, technical fabric and extremely bold prints. TNF is a classic go-to brand when it comes to outerwear, simply because they have so many pieces and designs to choose from.

Yet again, The North Face have smashed it with their new designs for this Spring season. Whilst re-introducing their classic 1996 Nupste in three colourways, the collection also contains the Lhoste Puffer jacket, Box Track Jacket, Box Track Pants and Alpine Hoodie (just to name a few). The North Face Spring collection contains some really cool prints, with a mix of vibrant and pastel blues, lilacs and yellows, so if you’re looking for something a little more unique to spice up your wardrobe, these pieces could be for you.
