It’s been announced that this years UEFA Champions league Final Kick Off Show by Pepsi in Istanbul will welcome a performance from the popular Nigerian afrobeats musician – Burna Boy.Â
Burna Boy will be co-headlining the 2023 final show with another yet-to-be-announced artist on Saturday, June 10.
The “Last Last” hit-maker has also linked up with Pepsi ambassadors and iconic ballers – Lionel Messi, Vinicius Junior, and Leah Williamson to convince fans to take part in the Pepsi kick off show challenge.
Fans are being encouraged to post their most impressive dance moves or ball skills on TikTok with the hashtag #PepsiKickOffShow. The person who impresses the most will then be invited to show off their skills during the 22/23 UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show by Pepsi performance.Â
Speaking about his upcoming performance at the final, Burna Boy explained: “As a huge football fan myself, I know it doesn’t get any bigger than the UEFA Champions League. Music and football is the ultimate combination, so you already know I’ll be bringing the vibes and making magic in Istanbul. The world ain’t ready for what we have in store!”
Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA’s marketing director added: “The UEFA Champions League Final Kick Off Show is a significant part of our joint efforts with Pepsi MAX, providing an incredible opportunity to reach new and younger audiences with some of the biggest names and rising stars in music.”
The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League Final will take place at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium on Saturday, June 10. The final can be watched through the official UEFA YouTube and TikTok channels.
