After the World Cup round of 16 tie between Brazil and South Korea came to an end, the whole team was seen showing their support for Brazil legend Pele as two stars of Tottenham Hotspur also shared a gracious moment.

Brazil showed off their football and dancing talents as they confirmed their spot in the World Cup quarter finals after a confident win in their last-16 tie against South Korea. Tite’s team put in a flawless first half performance which saw Neymar mark his return from injury by scoring Brazil’s second goal from the penalty spot.

Real Madrid‘s Vinicius Jr opened the scoring after seven minutes, Richarlison of Spurs got his third of the tournament and third for Brazil while Lucas Paqueta added a fourth 10 minutes before the half-time whistle.

During the second half, Paik Seung-ho scored a stunning goal from outside the area but it proved to be nothing but a consolation for South Korea.

Following the full time whistle, the entire Brazil team sent a wholesome message of support to the most famous Brazil player of them all – Pele.

The record three-time World Cup winner and all time top goal scorer with 77 goals in 92 appearances for Brazil, Pele has sadly been in hospital since Tuesday, receiving treatment for a respiratory infection aggravated by COVID-19.

Pele is also under going chemotherapy for a colon tumor discovered in September and the icon has been been regularly visiting the hospital in recent years.

Relatives of Pele have assured the media and worried fans that there’s nothing to worry about. One of Pele’s daughters, Kely Nascimento, told TV Globo: “He is sick, he is old. But at the moment he is there because of the lung infection. And once he feels better, he will go home again.”

It’s reported that the hospital said Pele is responding positively to the treatment for the infection and his health condition had not worsened over the previous 24 hours.

At the full time whistle, Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar, along with Danilo, entered the pitch holding up a banner which they revealed to be an image of Pele. The entire Brazil squad posed for a photo with the banner to show their support for the 82-year-old.

A moment was also shared between two stars of Tottenham Hotspur, Richarlison and Son Heung-min. The two team-mates shared some friendly words before Richarlison could be seen consoling the South Korean star as his 2022 World Cup journey came to an end.
