Arsenal Stepped Out In Pink As They Kept North London Red

As Arsenal took another 3 points away from Tottenham Hotspur this season and retained the fact that North London is red, for some, it was the debut of the pink bomber jacket that helped influence their success.

Adidas returned as Arsenal‘s kit supplier prior to the 2019-20 campaign and have since proved that the Three Stripes and the Gunners are a match made in heaven.

From the home, away, and third kits all worthy of a top spot for favourite 22/23 kits, to the Jamaica-inspired pre-match jersey and the charity-exclusive “No More Red” campaign shirts, Arsenal and Adidas are turning the club into a merchandising machine.

As Arsenal looked to their biggest fixture of the season, Tottenham Hotspur away in the infamous North London Derby, the reds repped their brand new Lunar New Year Caligraphy bomber jackets – found below and available from Adidas.

Club captain and goal scorer in the NLD, Martin Ødegaard led the team through the tunnel in true style. Each member of the starting eleven boasted a pink bomber jacket over the traditional red and white home kit.

Each bomber jacket features a large white embroidered “A” in an italic font at the chest, inspired by the Gunners late 20th-century crest, with the team’s name proudly placed upon the rear.

Arsenal came out the NLD victorious and are now comfortably sitting 8-points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Like most, the recent NLD was littered with drama and controversies, the main one being Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale being kicked by a Spurs fan at the full time whistle. As of yet, the fan hasn’t been identified but Tottenham explained they’re working to find the individual and serve him a life-long ban.

Whether it was the confidence that can come with a bold fashion statement or just simply being the better team, North London is officially red and unofficially pink.
