A Bathing Ape Debut Their Collaborative Capsule Collection With Vans
A Bathing Ape is renowned within the streetwear industry for its bold design aesthetic.
This season, the brand has announced an exclusive collaboration with skate brand, Vans, creating a new capsule collection for the Autumn/Winter season. The collaboration features a variety of garments and footwear, celebrating the history and evolution of both brands.
Footwear seems to be the highlight within the new collection. As both brands partner up, we see a re-design of the classic Vans Sk8 Hi 38 DX and Authentic 44 DX silhouettes. A classic Bape ABC Camo design has emblazoned the Sk8 Hi 38 DX silhouette, featuring a monochrome colourway – the perfect staple if you’re looking for a casual everyday shoe. Custom branded labels can be found on the tongue and the heel of the shoe, whilst the design is finished with the classic red Vans waffle outsole.
The Authentic 44 DX features a bold camouflage print across the canvas upper. Black laces create a subtle detail, matching with the piping across the ankle and the top of the rubber midsole. A chunky white midsole contrasts the brown waffle outsole, finishing the look, and keeping with the classic aesthetic of the Vans Authentic 44 DX silhouette.
Apparel includes a selection of co-branded hoodies in simple black and grey base colours. Each piece is printed with a collaborative logo featuring the red Vans ‘Off The Wall’ graphic, layered over the iconic Bape camo’ print, which both boldly contrast the plain fabric. Across the front of each hoodie is two individual brand logos with sit parallel on the chest.
The collection is suspected to release at selected retailers on the 29th November, alongside the official Vans website and the official A Bathing Ape website.
